Our Programs
What We Do
Divine Dignity partners with numerous organizations to gather and distribute a wide range of hygiene products, all aimed at helping and sharing God’s love with our neighbors in need.
Hygiene Centers
Welcome to our hygiene centers — a convenient solution for those in need of essential hygiene products.
Our centers are located within a secure Columbus community center, stocked with a diverse range of 20 different products. Once a month, individuals in the community center area can visit our hygiene center and fill out a client form to select up to 6 items they need. Our friendly community center staff members will then fill a hygiene bag with the selected items and include a flier about Divine Dignity and our message of sharing God’s love.
At our hygiene centers, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our clients. That’s why we require a secure location to store our hygiene products and the dedicated time of our staff members to fulfill the clients’ requests. We believe that everyone deserves access to proper hygiene products, and our hygiene centers are here to help make that a reality.
Hygiene Closets
Our hygiene closets are strategically placed within local service organizations that cater to the needs of their community members.
Our hygiene closets are strategically placed within local service organizations that cater to the needs of their community members. These secure locations house pre-filled hygiene bags that are distributed to individuals in need on a monthly basis. The organization’s manager selects which hygiene items are included in the bags, with some opting for a fixed set of products while others vary the contents each month. Our hygiene bags can be a personal care kit, a cleaning kit, or a combination of both. We work hand-in-hand with the managers to determine which hygiene products are included each month.
To spread our message of God’s love, we include a pamphlet and flier in every hygiene bag. Our hygiene closets require a secure location to store the bags, but they take up less space and require less time commitment from staff members. The bags are distributed by the organization’s staff, ensuring that those in need receive the products they require in a timely manner.
Our DigniTeens program connects teens to teens throughout Central Ohio. Our communities have many incredible teens who want to help other teens by offering dignity and hope through hygiene while sharing God's love.
Teen volunteers become engaged by collecting hygiene products and travel size toiletries through schools, churches and service organizations. Groups can come to our warehouse to pack dignity bags for local area teens who live in our at-risk communities. The dignity bags are distributed through our community centers and service organization partners. What an amazing way for teens to truly have an IMPACT on the lives of other teens in the Columbus area.
Dignity4Kids gives Divine Dignity the opportunity to supply needed hygiene products to school resource centers. Teachers and counselors then distribute products such as toothbrushes and toothpaste to children who lack access to these items. We continue to explore opportunities to expand this program serving young children.
Hygiene Collection Program
Our Hygiene Collection program offers churches, offices, salons, and community groups an easy and helpful way to donate hygiene products to Divine Dignity and reduce the amount of hygiene items that we need to purchase. We give over 4,000 hygiene products away each month through our Hygiene Centers and Closets. The majority of these items we purchase through generous monetary donations from our supporters. Collecting hygiene products helps to fulfill our need without needing to buy them.
Our main goal is to increase the number of our hygiene collection sites at local churches, offices, retirement centers and other facilities by placing hygiene collection signs which tell people to donate specified new and unused hygiene products.
You could help us have a larger impact on local low-income families by collecting and donating items. We would be happy to give you more information about our organization and, if you are interested, we will bring a bin and poster with the items that we collect.
