Distribution Partners
Our partner locations undeniably contribute to our efforts of transforming lives in Central Ohio, and we are proud to coordinate our efforts with them! Our goal of lifting up our neighbors in dignity through essential hygiene items is vital to the communities we live in, and we’re thankful to work alongside others who champion local men, women and families in need. Types of Distribution Partners
Hygiene Centers
Our hygiene centers are small marketplaces located within the Columbus community centers. Individuals in the community center area can visit our hygiene center and fill out a client form to select up to 6 items they need. We believe that everyone deserves access to proper hygiene products, and our hygiene centers are here to help make that a reality.
Hygiene Closets
Our hygiene closets give out pre-packed bags filled with 6 hygiene products each month to their community members. Our hygiene bags can be a personal care kit, a cleaning kit, or a combination of both and we work hand-in-hand with the managers to determine which hygiene products are included each month.
Student Hygiene Centers
Our students living in low income at risk communities often have many challenges in life, including lack of hygiene products. The number one reason for truancy and dropping out of school is LACK OF HYGIENE. We are prioritizing getting hygiene products to our students to help them have a healthier, better life and encouraging them to stay in school. The best path out of poverty is to stay in school and get an education. We love giving hygiene products to these students to improve their health, well-being, and self-worth. Every child deserves to have the opportunity to learn and have a better life and our Student Hygiene Centers are providing the products they need to decide to stay in school.
Become a Hygiene Distribution Partner
Our goal is to take hygiene to where people live to provide access to free hygiene products which are essential, expensive and an everyday need. We work with trusted partners who are the managers of community centers, medical clinics, drug recovery programs, homeless shelters, and schools. The managers of our hygiene locations help manage the distribution of the hygiene products in their location. We work with each hygiene center and closet to determine what products are most needed for their clients and community members. As we grow and expand, we are developing a model of opening a hygiene closet at a community center located near a school which has a Student Hygiene Center. This model helps the students and families in each community have access to free hygiene products.
We currently have 32 hygiene locations throughout central Ohio and have a waiting list of organizations, schools and community centers who want to become a hygiene partner.
Ways to Get Involved
NEW or UNUSED items that we need include: Shampoo, Body Wash and Soap, Deodorant, Razors and Shaving Cream, Toothpaste, Bleach, Cleaning solutions (Pine Sol, Lysol), Laundry detergent, Dishwashing liquid, and Paper Towels.
