Think about your own daily routine. Brushing your teeth is probably part of it without a second thought. Now imagine not having a toothbrush. Or having to share one with a sibling.
For many of the children we serve, something as basic as having their own toothbrush or toothpaste isn’t a given.
That’s why we include these items in our Dignity 4 Kids program. Every month, we give out hundreds of toothbrushes and tubes of toothpaste to schools and families.

In April, Dr. Taryn Gehlert with Bowen Legacy Dental heard about our need of toothpaste for our Blessing Bags, and stepped in with a generous gift of 400 tubes of toothpaste for students at Moler and Highland Elementary Schools. Our volunteers packed Blessing Bags for both schools, with Moler receiving theirs in April and Highland this month.
We’re so thankful for this donation! These small items make a big difference.
In 2024 we gave out over 5,200 toothbrushes and tubes of toothpaste. And we are in line to double that number this year!!
For the children and families we serve, these hygiene basics are more than daily supplies. They are reminders that someone sees them, values them, and wants to help.
We’re always in need of more of these products. If you or your dentist are able to donate, we’d be so thankful to receive them.
Toothbrushes and toothpaste are some of our most requested items. And we’ll use every one we get.
