On September 24, Divine Dignity staff and board members visited Vista Village, a tiny home community in Columbus aimed at providing dignified living for those experiencing homelessness. During the tour, they met Lexi Rogers, the Executive Director, and project developers John Perez and Harvey Hook.
Each 450-square-foot tiny home offers cozy living spaces and ample storage, helping residents feel at home. To assist their transition, each new resident will receive a Welcome Home Basket filled with essential hygiene products. A hygiene center will also be established in the community center to provide ongoing support as residents gain independence.
With plans to welcome 21 residents by Christmas and an additional 20 in January, we extend our gratitude to the Upper Arlington Rotary for their generous $4,100 donation towards the baskets. On October 8th, Rotary members joined us at Divine Dignity to pack 20 Welcome Home Baskets. Thank you, UA Rotary, for your amazing support!
