Winter can be a difficult season for many families. Cold weather brings extra challenges, and access to basic hygiene can become harder when budgets are stretched and resources are limited.
This winter, we are grateful to partner with Marion Franklin High School through the Nationwide Children’s Hospital School Liaison program to help meet that need. Through this partnership, every student at Marion Franklin High School will receive a dignity bag filled with essential hygiene items, including soap, shampoo, deodorant, petroleum jelly and ChapStick.

For students, having reliable access to hygiene is about more than cleanliness. It affects confidence, comfort and the ability to focus during the school day. When basic needs are unmet, it can be difficult for students to fully engage in learning. A dignity bag helps remove one small but meaningful barrier.
Originally, we planned to distribute these bags in mid-December. However, extreme cold weather led to school closures, and the distribution was postponed. While the date changed, the need did not. We are now scheduled to provide dignity bags to every student in early January.

We are thankful for partners who recognize the importance of meeting students where they are and supporting the whole child. Schools are often one of the most consistent points of connection for families, making them a meaningful place for dignity to be shared.
This partnership reflects what Divine Dignity is committed to doing across Central Ohio. We work alongside schools, clinics and community organizations to provide hygiene in places where people already live, learn and receive care.
As we look ahead to 2026, we continue to listen for where God is leading and how we can serve with faithfulness and care. We are grateful for the support that makes partnerships like this possible and for the opportunity to stand with students and families during the winter months.
