Divine Dignity has focused on the urban communities in need in Central Ohio, which remains our priority. But God has opened our eyes to the critical need for hygiene in the impoverished rural areas of Ohio, where hygiene is an enormous unmet need. One special request came from a wonderful woman named Courtney in Stout, Ohio, an impoverished rural community on the Ohio River near Portsmouth. We have added several new locations in the past two months, including Hygiene Closets at two new Lower Lights Health Centers. Our hygiene partner, Dr. Tress Reed, Spiritual Director, reached out to us in January to let us know that Lower Lights was opening new locations and would like to be added to our Hygiene Closets list.
