Divine Dignity is honored to serve our veterans, many of whom are homeless, by providing dignity and hope through hygiene support.
Recently, we partnered with Community of Wellness (COW) to distribute 40 dignity bags to veterans at a Volunteers of America event. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to support those who have served our country.
On Sunday, June 30, 2024, COW had the wonderful opportunity to share love and hope with a special group of veterans at the Volunteers of America Center. Pastor E, the founder of COW, shared a heartfelt story about his own personal recovery from depression and addiction with these men. The veterans, who are temporary residents of the facility, were deeply receptive and encouraged by his inspiring words. In addition, they were gifted with Divine Dignity Hygiene Bags filled with essentials from toothpaste to shampoo. This initiative brought unity and light, uplifting the spirits of the veterans.
The message left with the veterans is powerful: they are not forgotten, and their sacrifice to our country will forever be appreciated. Divine Dignity is grateful for the partnership with COW and their shared resources and mission in this community effort. The veterans at this facility are better after our visit, feeling renewed hope, love, and a sense of recovery.
